It'll stand for a year before being torn down.

It was the single, frantic thought in the elf's head that blotted out all the others. It was one simple, yet important and maybe even lifesaving command that she was following. She was running, running as fast as she could. Her mind was on autopilot.
Run, jump, and duck.
The thick foliage slowed her pace considerably. She had to follow the commands that her brain produced so she wouldn't end up sprawled on the forest floor or getting slapped by low-hanging branches. She was afraid she wouldn't be able to get up if she tripped and fell.
Run, jump, duck, and pant.
